Brian Montgomery:  Macbeth
Brian Montgomery has performed to critical acclaim with important opera companies throughout the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Arena di Verona, Bavarian State Opera, Hamburg State Opera, Stuttgart Opera, Hungarian State Opera, Basel Opera, Atlanta Opera, Dallas Opera, Manitoba Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Tulsa Opera, Opera Omaha, Utah Festival Opera, Arizona Opera, Glimmerglass Festival Opera, New Orleans Opera and Madison Opera.  At these prestigious companies he has been heard in principal and title roles including Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor, Posa in Don Carlo, Germont in La Traviata, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte,  Mercutio in Romeo et Juliette, Marcello and Schaunard in La Bohême, Iago in Otello, Silvio in I Pagliacci, Ottokar in Der Freischütz, and Leander in The Love for Three Oranges, di Luna in Il Trovatore, Junius in The Rape of Lucretia, Macbeth in Macbeth, de Bretigny in Massenet’s Manon, and Renato in Un Ballo in Maschera, to name but a few.







Jodi Karem:  Lady Macbeth
Jodi Karem has performed with such companies as Center for Contemporary Opera, Florentine Opera, Cape Cod Opera, Opera Grand Avignon, Armel Opera Festival, Carnegie Hall, Long Leaf Opera, Springfield Regional Opera, Skylight Opera, Natchez Opera Festival, Apotheosis Opera and others.  In 2023, Ms. Karem will perform with St. Pete Opera, covering the role of Leonore (Fidelio).   Other roles include Alice Ford, Venus (Tannhaüser), Santuzza, Suzuki, Eboli, Carmen, Witch (Hansel & Gretel), Flora, and Ericka.  Ms. Karem has extensive concert experience, performing concerts throughout the United States, Europe and the Middle East.







Kofi Hayford:  Banco / Medico
Kofi Hayford has performed major roles such as La Roche (Capriccio), Raimondo, Sarastro, Mephistopheles, Rodolfo (La Sonnambula), Bartolo, Sparafucile,  Commendatore, and Monterone.   Mr. Hayford has performed with such companies as Metropolitan Opera Guild, United Nations Symphony Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, NJ Verismo Opera, Gateway Classical Musical Society, Connecticut Lyric Opera and others.  Mr. Hayford had the opportunity to sing the inaugural performance of the Greek Opera Olympic Flame, singing the role of the titan Prometheus at Lincoln Center - later receiving an award from UNESCO for this performance.  







Monica Camafreita:  Witch / Dama
Monica Camafreita has performed with  such companies as Regina Opera, More Opera, Brooklyn Opera Works, New York Lyric Opera, Nathan Felix Opera Collective, United Nations Orchestra and New York Opera Alliance.  She has performed such roles as Elisabetta, Wellgunde, La Ciesca, and Tatyana.  Ms. Camafreita has performed with Opera for Earth for 2 seasons, singing both as the Witch in Verdi's Macbeth and as a soloist in concerts in Austin, TX.





Guillermo López Gutiérrez:  Macduff
Mr. López has performed in the International Festival Alfonso Oriz Tirado, Hermosillo Opera Company, Bowling Green Philharmonia, St. Pete Opera, Opera Tampa, and Spanish Lyric Theater, among others.  He has had the opportunity to perform roles such as Ernesto, Alfredo, Leandro (La Terbernera del Puerto), Juliàn (La Verbena de la Paloma), Gastone and Parpignol.  Mr López has been in the premier cast of new works such as Illegal Alien (Alfonso Molina) and El Pajecillo de Felipe V (Antonio de Maria Campos).  Mr. López makes his debut with Opera For Earth in the role of Macduff.






Chris Romeo:  Malcolm
Chris Romeo is a very active performer in the Tampa Bay area.  He has performed such roles as Don Ottavio, Don Curzio, and Toby (The Medium).  Mr. Romeo regularly performs with St. Pete Opera, New Century Opera and Opera Tampa.  Along with an active performance career,  Mr. Romeo also has a music therapy company called Creative Leaps.  Mr. Romeo makes his debut with Opera for Earth in the role of Malcolm.





William Hicks:  Music Director
William Hicks has appeared in concert, radio and master classes with leading singers of all time, such as Luciano Pavarotti, Licia Albanese, Franco Corelli, Anna Moffo, Roberta Peters, Renata Scotto, Renee Fleming and Deborah Voigt.  He has been on staff with the Metropolitan Opera serving as Assistant Conductor and Assistant Chorus Master, after which he recorded a series of shows by Jerome Kern with the London Sinfonietta.  Mr. Hicks has served as Associate Conductor for The Santa Fe Opera, Cincinnati Opera, and New York City Opera.  Mr. Hicks coaches young singers, gives master classes and helps singers prepare roles for performance.  






Teresa Ancaya:  Assistant Music Director, Tampa Bay Based Cast
Teresa Ancaya is an active piano soloist, accompanist and chamber musician.  She holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in piano performance with a minor in Spanish from the University of South Florida.  she did post-graduate study in piano accompaniment in Austria.  Teresa has appeared as a soloist with the Florida Orchestra, and the Imperial Symphony Orchestra.  In 2013, Teresa performed at Carnegie Hall with USF's Chamber Singers.  Currently, she serves as an accompanist for the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg Opera Company, Patel Conservatory, Opera Tampa, Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Chorale and plays for various schools in the Tampa Bay area.  Teresa has worked with students and faculty from Florida International University, the University of Miami, Florida Southern College, Southeastern University and the University of South Florida.  Teresa has also accompanied for V.O.I.C.E. Experience, the Vocal Arts Academy, Classical Voice Intensive at the Straz Center, and with the Gulf Coast Youth Choirs.  In addition to playing piano, Ms. Ancaya has appeared with the Opera Tampa chorus in three operas under the baton of Maestro Anton Coppola.
